About 20 years ago, I introduced grape-vines, which thrived well and produced a good crop of fruit, but when it was ripening, excessive moisture caused the fruit to crack. It may perhaps be possible to protect the roots of the plants from excessive moisture and thus obtain fair results.
It will be seen how important it will be in administering an experimental garden to avoid waste of time and money in every possible way by exercising discernment and first considering all knowledge which is accessible in regard to any project which may be contemplated.
